After fourteen years in Capalaba, our Naptime showroom has officially closed its doors.
It’s a big change for us, but it’s not the end of Naptime. Far from it.
We’re still here. The same team is here. Our Capalaba HQ and warehouse are still here. And you can still shop Naptime online, speak to our team and collect your order locally.
We’ve simply said goodnight to the traditional mattress showroom.
Why we closed the showroom
The way people shop for mattresses has changed — and so have we.
Naptime has always been about making genuinely good mattresses more affordable by cutting out the costs that don’t make your sleep any better.
Traditional retail comes with a lot of those costs.
Showroom rent. Display stock. Lighting. Fit-outs. Sales commissions. And plenty of other overheads that ultimately have to be built into the price of the mattress.
We don’t belong to a franchise and we’ve never believed you should have to pay inflated retail prices just because your mattress spent part of its life sitting under showroom lights.
Closing our showroom is the next step in that thinking.
It means we can put more of our focus into the things that actually matter: better products, better value, better service and getting your new mattress straight to your door.
Naptime isn't closing down
This is the important bit.
Naptime is still very much here.
Our showroom has closed, but our business hasn’t.
Our Capalaba HQ and warehouse continue to operate, and the same Naptime team — or the Dreamers, as we call them — are still behind the phones, messages and orders.
You just won't find us standing around a showroom waiting for you to pretend you can tell whether a mattress is right after lying on it for 90 seconds.

We continue to offer free delivery to metro areas on orders over $499, with our mattresses vacuum-rolled and boxed to make getting them through the front door — and up the stairs — a whole lot easier.
And unlike the old showroom, naptime.com.au never closes.
Shop at 10am, midnight or during that inevitable 2am moment when you finally decide your current mattress has had enough.
Try it where it actually matters
Here’s the problem we’ve always had with mattress showrooms.
You walk in, lie on a mattress for a minute or two, fully dressed, probably with your shoes still on, while someone waits nearby for your verdict.
Then you're supposed to decide whether you'll enjoy sleeping on it for the next several years.
We think there’s a better way.
Rather than relying on a quick showroom test, you can take the time to choose the right mattress for you, with our team here to help before and after your purchase.
Your bedroom. Your sheets. Your pillow. Your normal sleeping position.
In other words, the place where you actually sleep.

So, what actually changed?
The showroom at 7/11 Dan Street, Capalaba is now permanently closed.
That's the change.
Naptime isn't disappearing. We're simply moving away from traditional retail and putting our energy into the way most of our customers already choose to shop.
You can still browse our range online, speak to our team when you need help, have your order delivered or collect it directly from our Capalaba warehouse.
Same Naptime.
Just without the showroom overheads.
And, thankfully, no awkwardly lying on a mattress while a salesperson waits for you to say something.

Can I still pick up my order?
Yes. Click & Collect is available from our warehouse at 13/30 Smith Street, Capalaba QLD 4157. Place your order online and we'll let you know when it's ready.
Can I visit the warehouse to try a mattress?
No. Our Smith Street location is a warehouse and Click & Collect point rather than a retail showroom. Our mattresses are no longer available to try in person before purchasing.

How do I choose a mattress without trying it first?

Naptime is Australian owned and our mattresses are designed in Australia for Australian conditions. They're manufactured overseas to our specifications.
