What size bed does it open into?
A standard Australian queen, 153 × 203 cm, so regular queen fitted sheets fit it. No special bedding needed.
Is it comfortable enough to sleep on?
It depends on what a sofa bed is built on. Many use a thin pad over a folding metal frame, which is where the uncomfortable bar comes from. The Stay is built on pocket springs with a medium-firm feel, and there’s no bar running through the back.
What are the dimensions?
The queen measures 153 × 104 × 77 cm as a sofa (width × depth × height). As a bed, it’s a standard queen.
How is it delivered?
The queen comes in two boxes, dropped off at your door. Box 1 is 165 × 39 × 38 cm (36.7 kg) and box 2 is 130 × 40 × 27 cm (11.7 kg). Assembly and carry-in aren’t included. Delivery is free to most metro areas on orders over $499, and your exact cost shows at checkout. Our shipping and delivery page has delivery times.
Will it fit in a small apartment?
Measure the space it will sit in as a sofa (153 cm wide and 104 cm deep for the queen) and leave room in front for it to open out to a queen bed. Then check the route in: the larger box is 165 cm long but only 39 cm wide.
Should I buy a sofa bed or a spare bed?
If the room is a lounge, office or study most of the time and a bedroom occasionally, a sofa bed is the better fit. If guests stay most weeks, a bed frame and mattress will be more comfortable long term.
