Sofa Beds
A sofa by day and a proper queen bed by night. The Naptime Stay is built on pocket springs instead of a folding wire frame, so there's no bar running through your back. It takes standard queen sheets, and it's delivered to your door in two boxes.
It's made for guest rooms, studios, home offices and anywhere a room has to do two jobs. Pay later with Afterpay or Zip.
How to choose a sofa bed
1. Check what's under the surface
Most sofa beds fold out onto a metal frame with a thin pad on top. That's where the "bar in your back" comes from. A sprung sofa bed is a different product at a similar price, so ask what the sleeping surface is built on before you compare anything else. The Stay uses pocket springs and has a medium-firm feel.
2. Compare the bed size, not the sofa size
Sofa beds are often sold on their sofa measurements, with the bed size in the fine print. A queen bed (153 × 203 cm) sleeps two adults comfortably, and a double is noticeably narrower. The Stay opens to a standard Australian queen, so the queen sheets already in your linen cupboard fit it.
3. Measure your access, not just the room
Check the hallway, stairwell, lift and tightest corner between the street and the room. The Stay arrives in two boxes. The larger is 165 × 39 × 38 cm, long and narrow rather than wide, which makes it easier to get through tight spaces.
4. Check the delivery terms
Drop-off, carry-in and assembly are three different services. The Stay is delivered to your door only, so assembly and carry-in aren't included. The heavier box is 36.7 kg, so have a second person on hand on delivery day.
5. Be honest about how often it's a bed
If a room is a lounge, office or study most of the time and a bedroom now and then, a sofa bed is the right fit. If it's a bedroom most nights, a bed frame and mattress will give you more for your money.

Sofa bed FAQs
What size bed does the Naptime Stay sofa bed open into?
A standard Australian queen, 153 × 203 cm, so regular queen fitted sheets fit it. No special bedding needed.
Is a sofa bed comfortable enough to sleep on?
It depends on what it's built on. Many sofa beds use a thin pad over a folding metal frame, which is where the uncomfortable bar comes from. The Stay is built on pocket springs with a medium-firm feel, and there's no bar running through the back.
What are the Naptime Stay's dimensions?
As a sofa it measures 153 × 104 × 77 cm (width × depth × height). As a bed, it's a standard queen.
How is the sofa bed delivered?
In two boxes, dropped off at your door. Box 1 is 165 × 39 × 38 cm (36.7 kg) and box 2 is 130 × 40 × 27 cm (11.7 kg). Assembly and carry-in aren't included. Delivery is free to metro areas in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA on orders over $499. See our shipping and delivery page for delivery times.
Will a sofa bed fit in a small apartment?
Measure the space it will sit in as a sofa (153 cm wide and 104 cm deep for the Stay) and leave room in front for it to open out to a queen bed. Then check the route in: the larger box is 165 cm long but only 39 cm wide.
Should I buy a sofa bed or a spare bed?
If the room is used as a lounge, office or study most of the time and a bedroom occasionally, a sofa bed is the better fit. If guests stay most weeks, a bed frame and mattress will be more comfortable long term.
How much is the Naptime Stay sofa bed?
$849 for the queen. You can pay later with Afterpay or Zip at checkout.
What colour is it?
Light grey fabric.
